Dafydd's 50th Birthday Party

The Brief

We are fortunate enough to organise a lot of epic parties and every once in a while there are spine tingling moments that stay with you forever… this event was the culmination of months of hard work and planning that came together to embody the true meaning of Serendipity Events - when organisation, creativity and a touch of fate collide to create an evening of magic!

Over 3 weeks we erected a custom glasshouse marquee at a private family residence with covered walkways over three levels, specially designed to facilitate the client’s own garden features and trees growing within it. We brought in 4 truck loads of trees and foliage to bring the outside into the space while keeping guests warm and toastie with a interior bespoke heating system. And what better way to appreciate a magnificent fireworks show that through the clear roof! The catering was designed and prepared by Michelin star celebrity chef Jean Christophe Novelli and served alongside custom musical themed tasting cocktails.

This event truly had it all, fire breathers, face-painting artists, caricaturists, world-class magicians and illusionists, custom designed party games from musical charades and heads up to discovering your rockstar alter ego! The clients chosen theme of music was embodied throughout the party with an opening string quartet, busking acoustic musicians and the ultimate surprise headliner, world renown guitarist Johnny Marr. You only turn 50 once, why not do it true style!
